Y'Berion was the founder, leader and prophet of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper during the period the Valley of the Mines was separated from the outside world by the Barrier.

The revelation came to him while he was a lowly digger in the Old Camp, a god promised him immesurable power if he could rally supporters to his cause. Guided by the voice, he found a swamp and an ancient temple near it, as well as swampweed, a tobacco-like plant that when smoked made the user hallucinate, as well as made him experience visions.

With the swampweed, Y'Berion slowly gained supporters and estabilished a camp in the swamp, centering it's economy around swampweed gathering and processing as well as herb growing. While the population grew, Y'Berion retreated to the temple, allowing Cor Angar and Cor Kalom to run the camp.

Y'Berion died during the great summoning of the Sleeper conducted by the Brotherhood as the magic power channeled through the focus stone became too great for him to bear. Before his death however, he managed to warn the Brotherhood of the true nature of the Sleeper.
