The High Magician of the Circle of Water. In Gothic 1, he didn't agree with the Magicians of Fire and he wanted to destroy the Barrier. He hired Lee's mercenaries to protect him and he founded the New Mine. His plan was to destroy the Barrier using the power of the ore. In chapter 4, he guided the nameless in finding the Focus Stones. When Xardas told the hero that Saturas' plan wouldn't work, he stole the power of the Water Mages' Ore Mound and charged Uriziel. After the Barrier collapsed, Saturas and the Water Mages went to investigate a culture that workshiped Adanos, past the northen mountains of Khorinis. The hero helps him to complete the expedition and Saturas gives him orders to find artifacts that would help them find more about Jharkendar, the lost city. Also, Saturas helps the nameless to kill Raven, the ore baron, servant of Beliar who wanted to desecrate the temple of Adanos in Jharkendar, the ancient city they discovered past a huge portal. In the end of Ghotic 2, Saturas forgives the nameless for stealing the power of the Ore Mound.
