Rice

Rice is the second most cultivated grain on the fields of Myrtana, after wheat.
Though it is one of the main sources of food on the mainland, especially in the Central Realms, on other places, for example on Khorinis, it's rather unknown. One exception might be the New Camp, whose income was based on rice cultivating.
Role of the rice inside the Barrier
While the Old Camp's income was based on trading with the outside world, and the Sect Camp concentrated on making tobacco, the New Camp relied on its rice fields, to secure their economy.
Being situated on humid, fertile soil, below the dam, and next to a small natural river, the rice fields of the New Camp could have been used to produce this resource on a mass scale, providing the camp with more than necessary, allowing them to trade with the other two camps.
The rice fields of the New Camp worked under the supervision of the Rice Lord.
The main product made out of rice, in the New Camp, was a liquor called. Rice Schnapps.
