Mercenaries (Orcs)
From World of Gothic
![]()
The second group known as mercenaries in history, after Lee's mercenaries, were the Orc mercenaries - a group of men who openly collaborated with the invaders of Myrtana. Their motives varied from person to person, one helped them seeing it as change, another helped because of the money involved. Regardless, they all collaborated.
They were much less organized, with no central figurehead leading them, as was the case with the rebels - all mercenary groups located within cities operated in total independence from another, and were led by local commanders, like Samuel in Geldern.
Orc Mercenaries answered directly to their orc superiors. However, they first had to prove themselves to be worthy enough to be a hired sword for the invaders. As such, the fighting potential of this group was immense, to the point that some Orc leaders allowed crucial elements of their infrastructure to be commanded by human mercenaries.
The final fate of the orc mercenaries, following the conclusion of the Second Orc War, is unknown.
