Okara
From World of Gothic
![]()
While the main hero was busy fighting Evil in Valley of Mines, Khorinis and Iordorath, the Orcs won their war against King Rhobar II. The great numbers of King’s paladins and warriors fell on the battlefields, a hundred of best paladins were sent to Khorinis under the command of Lord Hagen to get a whole heap of magic ore and the capital Vengard waited for rescue having been sealed by the magic barrier. But the resistance to the Orcish rule never died. There were lots of free people scattered all around Myrtana hiding in the cliffs, in the caves and mines and in the forests. These free humans, better known as rebels, formed four main rebel camps in Myrtana: Reddock (coastal region), Okara (the very heart of the Realm), Nemora (cliffs surrounding the pass to Varant) and Anog’s camp north-east of Silden.
Okara is situated between Montera and Silden, south-west of Gotha. The rebel camp is rather small comparing to Reddock and Nemora. Its well hidden in the iron mine, surrounded with forests, and is the only and main source of ore for all rebels of Myrtana. All kinds of weapons, the rebels are fighting with, are produced in Okara. Roland, a former paladin of the King, still wears his armor with pride. He is the leader of Okara. Talk to him and you will get the possibility to take on several serious quests, connecting with liberation of Montera, freeing Gotha from its curse and getting in touch with the King. By the way, he is the guy, who sent Gorn, alongside with some men, to look for the rune, which takes you to the King. And he is the one, whose rebels stole the Ring of Adanos from Basir, the Hashishi merchant, near Montera – the Holy Artifact, which was later lost by Gorn when he fought the Demon of Gotha. Moreover Roland has several spies and scout groups in and around Montera.
Currently Okara is in terrible need of new men! You can talk to the smith and get the quest to search for them. If you do, then look carefully in the areas around Okara – you will find four men here and Rakus, the Fire Mage, not far from Montera.
