Mercenaries (Lee)
From World of Gothic
![]()
This particular group was established by Lee, an ex-general of the royal army wrongfully accused of murder, who was thrown into the Penal Colony on Khorinis. Vying for revenge, he formed a group that included the best fighters in the colony, that protected the Water Mages in the newly formed New Camp.
They worked for a bit of magic ore and the promise of breaking free from the accursed Valley of Mines. Lee led them, with a number of lieutenants, including Orik and Torlof.
The group did not disband after the fall of the Barrier - realizing they need to break free from Khorinis itself, Lee hired his services out to Onar, a wealthy landlord, intending to starve the city and newly arrived paladins into meeting their demands - ferrying him and the rest of mercenaries to mainland Myrtana.
Shortly after his arrival, he was joined by a number of men who fought Orcs in southern Khorinis, led by Silvio. Needing more men, he accepted their offer, but soon, he realized that this wasn't the best decision - Silvio's men were little more than bandits, bent on forcibly taking control of the city.
Matters deteriorated as Silvio openly challenged Lee's authority and eventually left for the Valley of Mines, leading the Dragon Hunters against the dragons.
Facing the prospect of losing the battle against the Orcs, Lee boarded Esmeralda along with the nameless hero and left Khorinis. Without a leader, it is assumed that the mercenaries soon disbanded, or another man took charge.
However, seeing how Khorinis was conquered by Orcs, it may be that all mercenaries are dead or enslaved.
