Role Paladin commander, interim Khorinis governor
Guild Order of Innos
Rank Field commander

Lord Hagen was king Rhobar's most trusted military commander. When the ore from Khorinis stopped coming and the war took a turn for the worse for Myrtana, Hagen was sent with his most trusted men to the isle to establish the supply routes anew.

Character overview

Lord Hagen was a sturdily built man in his fifties. He was deeply devoted to the king and Innos and never wasted his words needlessly. He was also an extremely responsible person, who always put his duties above all else, willing to sacrifice much to fulfill the orders given to him by the King.

Involvement in Khorinis

Upon his arrival in Khorinis on board the merchantman Esmeralda, Hagen was appointed interim governor of the isle, deposing the former one temporarily and instituted martial law in the city. All able citizens were to join the militia and nobody was except from military training. Also, the local blacksmith Harad was tasked with supplying the militiamen with weapons, as an order for one hundred swords was put forward by the paladins.

Shortly after his arrival, a detachment of paladins under the lead of Garond was sent to the Valley of Mines to reestablish mining operations. However, the paladins soon found themselves outnumbered and cornered by orcs, which forced them to take refuge in the castle that was once the old camp's center. Unable to make contact, Hagen grew more and more restless, until an ex-convict offered his services to scout out the situation.

The news he brought back were grim at best. The paladins excavated very little magic ore, many of his soldiers have fallen in battle and the news of the hero about the dragons have proven true.

Reluctantly, the lord authorized the hero to procure the Eye of Innos and while the nameless fought the dragons, Hagen planned the offensive against the orcs in the valley, in order to rescue the stranded paladins and establish ore mining operations.

The force he'd lead consisted of all the paladins that he had at his disposal in the city, leaving only a skeleton crew behind to maintain the ship. This allowed the nameless hero to procure his vessel along with its guard, Girion, effectively stranding the paladins on Khorinis.

His ultimate fate is unknown, but it is safe to assume that he was executed by the orcs in Khorinis.
