Lefty is one of Rice Lord's most important thugs, being second in charge of the peasants.

His high position may be because of his important role in procuring the workers.
His ways, often described as doubtful by many laborers, have also been the main reason of his popularity among the peasants, who were forced to labor on the rice fields by Lefty.

As Rufus one of the many peasants being forced to labor states, Lefty attracts the potential peasants by promising them a fast ascending in the hierarchy of the New Camp.
However, once managing to get hold of his new laborers, Lefty would beat them up in their huts, in the event of them refusing to work, the case of Rufus and many others.

A notable "victim" of his would be the nameless hero, who also was obliged to work in the rice fields.
However, the hero had risen up against him, winning a duel with him, and being the last person to be forced to labor by Lefty.

After the fall of the Barrier it is safe to assume that he was either killed by a monster, either by one of the other convicts, or a dragon.
