Lee was a general in Myrtana's army, who led it to victory against the Varant armies, but due to a court intrigue, was deposed and imprisoned on Khorinis, within the Penal Colony located there. He'd lead the mercenaries both before and after the fall of the Barrier. His ultimate goal would be the murder of the man that betrayed him - Rhobar II.

Character overview

Lee was a brilliant tactician and military leader in the service of the King. His ingenious maneuver that drew Lukkor's Varantian cavalry into the marshes of southern Myrtana and allowed his soldiers to kill off them allowed Rhobar II to defeat the invading Varant forces and secure his throne.

He was responsible, visionary and possessed exceptional charisma. These traits allowed him to organize and unite the mercenaries.

Lee was also an excellent fighter, excelling in the use of two handed weapons, and preferred heavy armour for protection.

Biography

The maneuver mentioned above earned Lee a place in the chronicles of history, but the fame gained thanks to it also caused his downfall.

The favor in which he was with the king was not welcome by members of the royal court, and they framed the general for the murder of the Queen. Rhobar had no choice and sentenced him to be imprisoned within the Penal Colony of Khorinis, sparing him the gallows that awaited him if he hasn't been such an asset to the kingdom in the wars.

Angry and betrayed, Lee swore to take his vengeance on the king. Seeking a way to break out from the magic prison, he organized a fighting force dubbed the Mercenaries, composed of the finest warriors under the Barrier. They hired their services out to the Water Mages and protected them, aiding where ever their aid was needed, to allow the wizards to devise a way to destroy the barrier.

However, their plans were destroyed as the Free Mine was invaded by the Old Camp guards on Gomez's orders and when the nameless hero charged Uriziel with the power of the ore mound.

But ultimately, these events would work for their benefit, as the hero banished the Sleeper with Uriziel and freed the mercenaries.

With their newly found freedom, Lee realized he and his men needed a ship to leave Khorinis as the orc forces begun their takeover of the island. Unfortunately, the only ship available was the Esmeralda, belonging to the paladin taskforce. In order to procure it, Lee decided to cut off the food supply for the city, hoping that the hungry townsfolk would eventually force the paladins to yield to the mercenary demands.

His plan included inciting unrest in the countryside and opposition to the king, as well as disabling the flow of trade goods to and from the city.

The plan would work, but only for Lee, as the nameless hero needed the Esmeralda to travel to Irdorath, and Lee was one of the crew members that boarded the ship.

When they landed in Myrthana, Lee wandered the lands seeking a way to gain access to Vengard. Eventually, he reached the Fire Clan in Nordmar, where he awaited his chance of taking revenge.
