Guards

The Guards of the Old Camp are among the mightiest warriors in the colony. Most of them have served the Ore Barons ever since Gomez's revolt and to this day wear heavy armours scavenged from royal footmen and knights. They were led by Thorus, a capable fighter, who was one of the most influential and, to a degree, friendly persons in the camp.
Their main duties included protecting the Barons and the Old Camp, securing shipments from the outside world and the Old Mine and keeping the peace in the Old Camp.
They were easily recognizable by their armour. The lowest ranking guards wear simple red tunics with quilted leather pauldrons on them. Higher, more experienced ones wore chainmail armors with quilted leather pauldrons, leggins and metal plates on arms and things. The highest, most experienced guardsmen wore suits of plate armour with chainmail underlining, scavenged from slain royal knights.
