Members of the Circle of Fire, being scholars, not warriors, preferred light robes in place of the heavy armours paladins wore. These robes were all hooded and were insulated enough to be worn by mages in all environmental conditions, from the harsh, desert conditions of Varant to the cold northern reaches of Nordmar.
There are two main variations of the robe - the regular and heavy versions.
Fire Robe
The robe of fire was crafted from the finest red cloth available to the Circle of Fire, overlaid with a quilted leather stole running all the way down to their ankles, all held together by a leather belt with a steel buckle.
The robe was awarded to all Novices who passed into magehood.
These robes were worn by all Fire Mages except for the highest ranking members of the Circle.
High Robe of Fire
A version of the robe available exclusively to the highest ranking members of the circle of Fire that provides superior protection to it's wearer.
The High Robe of Fire is composed of a light brown robe adorned with golden symbols of fire and an overlaying stole, much bulkier and more ornamental than the regular Fire Robe. The stole has two layers - the thicker, lower one, has a light red color and is quilted and the one to the front, made from dark cloth, is thinner and plays an entirely decorative role.
This kind of robe was most widespread in Myrtana among ex-members of the Circle of Fire following the removal of rune magic by Xardas, seeing how hierarchy no longer mattered and everybody needed the best protection he could afford.
