Demons

Demons are among the most powerful denizens of the World of Gothic. Being entirely magical in nature, they are highly resistant and powerful entities, dangerous to nearly all kinds of enemies.
There are several types of demons in existence, with the weakest being flying fire demons, who are red skinned with a grotesquely twisted blue face with exposed giant fangs and two leathery wings. They attack with their claws, and their hits cause festering, literally burning wounds. They are ruled over by demon princes, who are their more powerful variations, with fleshy beaks and red eyes, similiar to skeleton mages. A different variation is a powerful, bipedal creature with wings, easily twice the size of a regular human, who have glowing red eyes and a gray, stone-like skin with two giant leathery wings and wield giant, flaming blades into combat.
They are extremely dangerous to any animal or human, capable of literally burning them to death within seconds. However, they are also highly intelligent and can be used by skilled mages as powerful minions and servants.
For example, Xardas used a demon to be his "doorman" when the hero first met Xardas. The demon spoke to the hero with telepathy and gave him a test to see if he is worthy of meeting Xardas.
The origins of these creatures is unknown, but we can assume that they are the spawns of Beliar, probably living in other dimension, such as the dark god's dominion, and they can only be summoned by a very experienced and powerfull sorcerer.
