Role Leader of the Templars, freelance warrior, gladiator
Guild Brotherhood of the Sleeper
Rank Cor

Angar was one of the most influential people in the Colony, being the leader of the Templars of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper and, by extension, Y'Berion's second in command. Following the Sleeper's banishment, he was plagued by constant nightmares and migraines due to the presence of the dragons and was one of the hero's friends who set sail with him to the Halls of Irdorath. When the party was separated when Esmeralda was commandereed by the pirates, Angar found himself wandering through Varant and eventually reaching the city of Mora Sul.

Character overview

Angar was a Southern Isles native, around the age of forty at the time of the Barrier's erection. He was a strong willed person and due to his age, a father figure of sorts for the inmates. When Y'Berion had the revelation about Sleeper, Angar followed him and helped estabilish the Swamp Camp, eventually becoming the head of the Templars.

During the five years of growth, Angar, now using the title Cor, was responsible for training and maintaining the morale and skills of theTemplars

His fighting skills were unmatched due to his countless battles in the colony and allowed him to be an extraordinary fighting asset to the hero in the Halls of Irdorath and later claim championship of the Mora Sul arena in Varant.

Biography

Angar was the man responsible for leading the defenders of the Brotherhood of the Sleeper, a function he received in return for helping Y'Berion to establish the Swamp Camp. Being the second in command, Angar was the man responsible for tasking the nameless hero as well as a detachment of Templars with investigating a nearby Orc Cemetery in conjunction with the vision Y'Berion experienced prior to his death.

Upon the hero's return with news of the cemetery containing absolutely nothing of value to the Brotherhood, Cor Angar was devastated and asked him to quickly return with five strongest healing herbs from the swamp. Unfortunately, Y'Berion died in the arms of Angar, warning the Brotherhood that their supposed saviour is in reality a demon. Angry, Cor Kalom, the other important figure, left the camp with a large number of Templars and Novices to seek out the Sleeper on his own, leaving Angar as the de facto sole ruler of the Brotherhood. Angar would retain this role, until the Barrier has dissipated due to the hero banishing the Sleeper from the mortal realm.

Unfortunately, he would not be able to enjoy freedom for long, as suddenly he would be subject to hallucinations and irresistible, painful migraines. Losing faith and sanity, Angar wandered the Valley of Mines for days, losing his amulet in the process. He would be encountered during the hunt for the dragons by the hero and would ask for his help in taking his amulet back from the undead. Later, he'd return and settle down for a bit on Bengar's farm on the mesa, but his headaches wouldn't stop. In this state he was recruited by the hero to sail with him to the Halls of Irdorath to defeat the Undead Dragon. With the death of the beast, his headaches would stop and Angar would start to put his psyche together.

Upon the party's arrival in Myrtana, Angar stayed behind on Esmeralda and as the pirates attacked and commandeered the merchantman, he escaped them and found himself wandering the sands of Varant. Eventually, he reached Mora Sul and due to his combat experience from the Colony, easily won the champion's mantle and bore it proudly, until he was finally defeated by the hero. Following the conclusion of the Orc-Human war, Angar finally managed to find and claim inner peace.
