Ali is a merchant of the Hashishin. In an attempt to talk with Kan, the leader of the Orc forces in Myrtana, he travels north, and establishes in the city of Faring. In order to get access to the castle in which Kan was located, he ambushed Rathgar in Nordmar, and stole his Ancient Artifact from him, in order to use it as a gift for the Orcs that would eventually give him access to the castle of Faring.

Even though claiming that he had bought the artifact, some people still were suspicious about him, thinking that he actually stole the ancient stone. In the end the stone was recovered by the hero and returned back to its rightful owners from Nordmar.
